Eid Mubarak To You!
Eid Ul Fitr is a Muslim Holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. Often it is abbreviated TO Eid. An Arabic word Eid means festivity while Fitr to break the fast. This holiday symbolizes the breaking of month long of fasting. It celebrated in the last month of Islamic Ramadan and first day of Shaawaal. The end of Holy Month of Ramadan occurs when the new moon of Shaawaal is sighted.
There are two Muslim holidays that celebrate according to the Islamic Faith. Eid Ul Fitr comes after the Ramadan and Eid Al Adha is after the the complition of Hajj,or pilgrim to Makka.
Unlike the other holidays such as Christmas, exchange gift is not in their practice. On this day Muslim show their real joy for the health, strength, and the opportunities of life. There are some general practices that the Muslim do:
Wake up early
They prepare for the personal hygiene
Wear their best cloths, weather it new or old
Eat their breakfast on Eid Ul Fitr before leaving for prayer ground
Give charity to the poor or Zakaat Al Fitr
Offer Salaat al Eid in congregation
Use two separate routeto and from the prayer ground
Recite the Takbir on the way to Salaat and until the beginning of Salaat al Eid.
