Six Daily Motivation Tips

Six Daily Motivation Tips
By Steve Gillman

How do you achieve a more consistent level of daily motivation? Use the following powerful techniques, beginning at the start of your day.

1. Start The Day Motivated

Have a morning motivation routine. Experiment a bit and see what gets you going. If it has to be coffee, then so be it, although there are probably healthier options. One thing that probably doesn't work is hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock. That just trains your brain and body to pay less attention to the alarm. Try cold showers, energizing music, exercise and anything else that might work for you. Once you find a few things that help you get you ready for the day, work them into a regular routine.

2. Have Worthy Goals

If you have nothing to get excited about, find something. Quit your job, move to another town, make a goal that requires work you will enjoy. You have nothing to lose in your life if there is nothing in it that you want to be doing, so start making changes. Start exploring the possibilities to see which ones might inspire you and make you want to get going each day. Then remind yourself of these important or inspirational goals every morning.

3. Use Fear

We are all motivated by both fear and the promise of rewards, but some of us respond better to fear. You can use this to get yourself moving. In fact, you already do if you sometimes lay there in the morning until the thoughts of what will happen if you don't get up make you finally jump out of bed. Just make it more conscious and planned. Imagine the bad things that will happen if you don't do what needs to be done. This is a very basic psychological technique. You link pain with not acting, so you feel a strong urge to get busy working on your goals.

4. Have Daily Motivation Talks

Almost everyone gets excited and experiences a rise in energy levels when talking about something that is truly important and inspiring to them. This could be cars, self improvement, politics, money or just about anything. Find the "hot" topics that get you excited and start a conversation about them as necessary. This works best if the person you are talking to shares your enthusiasm, but try it with anyone who will listen. Afterwards you should be able to carry that energized and motivated state over to the work at hand.

5. Do Something

Though it may seem ironic, I started writing this article without feeling too motivated (I write more than a hundred articles a year). But I knew that if I just wrote a sentence or two, there would be some momentum created. Sure enough, I am writing easily now, and with some enthusiasm. The point: take any small step. Do anything to start the project or task in front of you - any action towards a goal - and you will feel some degree of motivation building within you.

6. Go Beyond Daily Motivation Tricks

Learn how your brain and body works and you can easily apply that knowledge through "tricks" like those here. However, there is also a natural motivation which arises in us when we are living in a balanced and healthy way. You may be skeptical of the idea at first, but when you see clearly enough what needs to be done, the energy is there. Work on that self awareness and honest inquiry into ones nature, and more and more you'll be able to tap into that natural state of seeing the truth and acting. Then you won't need daily motivation "tricks" or tips.

Liking is based on connection. If you’re wondering if a gothic girl would like you, and your habits correspond with the average guy, then you’ll have less chances of getting along with her.

You can easily predict and know how to tell if a girl likes you by knowing what type of personal lifestyle you’re having on a weekly basis. What kind of friends you have, and where you work, are simple deciding factors on being liked.

Usually if a girl likes you, she may mention some positive qualities in front of you and believe you have many admirable qualities like being funny, intelligent, or humorous. She may see you as a leader or as a great friend.

How To Tell If A Guy Likes You: Does He Really Like You Or Is It Just Business?

How To Tell If A Guy Likes You: Does He Really Like You Or Is It Just Business?
By Michael Lee

How to tell if a guy likes you can be a controversial discussion. Whether it’s for business purposes or for personal pleasure, knowing how to tell if a guy likes you can be of great importance.

One of the easiest ways to spot a man’s attraction towards you is through his empathy. Empathy is a powerful and emotional human delivery. Once a person shows empathy, either directly or indirectly, it’s usually a positive advantage for connecting with you.

One clear example is when you go to a business seminar. During the break, you enter the hallway when many people get to network. If you went to the seminar by yourself, spend your first 15 minutes alone studying the environment, and someone approaches you quickly, the person approaching probably likes you already.

Whether it is for business or pleasure, you can easily tell if a guy likes you most of the time by observing the questions he asks you. What types of question and answers are received in the conversation? If you’re a woman and the purpose of a meeting is business, chances are the guy may like you businesswise and not in a personal perspective.

There are confusions when it comes to likes from others. A guy may like many qualities you own, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are liked for romance. A guy may have many different purposes for liking you.

One of the basic keys is to know what type of relationship you are planning to get. Is it on a personal intimate level or is it just for business? You, or he, may have one or both in agenda.

When it comes to business, many people confuse likes with business. Some believe that likes involve key for acceptance. If you are a female, he may hire you for a job not because he likes you but because of qualification for the particular job.

Likewise, if a guy doesn’t hire you and you have met him in the past, it doesn’t necessarily means he doesn’t like you. Maybe it’s because you are not qualified for the particular task at hand. When it comes to romance and intimacy, knowing how to tell if a guy likes you is far easier most of the time.

As a professional and responsible woman, you can easily know how to tell if a guy likes you by the type of attention you get. By the way the guy looks and uses body language, you may easily spot likeability signals most of the time.

Discover how you can easily attract the opposite sex by reading people body language and using conversational hypnosis techniques. Grab your FREE course that reveals 10 groundbreaking persuasion secrets at http://www.20daypersuasion.com/secrets.htm

Laughter Is Good Medicine - Studies Show That Laughter Therapy Works Wonders

Laughter Is Good Medicine - Studies Show That Laughter Therapy Works Wonders
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Lynne_Lee]Lynne Lee

It's true, laughter is good for you. It doesn't just make you feel good; it's actually good for your health. Laughter therapy can turn your life around.

Research shows that laughter can improve your health, reduce stress hormones, and boost your immune system.

Medical studies show that laughter boosts levels of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and suppresses stress hormones. Laughter also increases the cells that destroy viruses and tumours.

A good laugh exercises your lungs and circulatory system and increases the amount of oxygen in your blood. It can boost your heart rate, improve blood flow, and reduce your blood pressure.

One study showed lower blood-sugar levels in diabetics when they ate a meal at a comedy show.

Studies show that anger, negative thinking and grumpiness suppress your immune system, while a good dose of laughter alleviates pain and does you good.

It's worth training yourself to look on the bright side of things. If you habitually feel negative, anxious, or depressed, consider getting help.

"A cheerful heart is good medicine." Proverbs 17:22

Norman Cousins knew that negative thoughts and attitudes can result in illness. He reasoned that positive thoughts and attitudes might have the opposite effect and laughed his way out of a life threatening disease by watching funny movies. He discovered that 15 minutes of belly laughter could give him 2 hours of pain free sleep. He eventually laughed himself better.

"Hearty laughter is a good way to jog internally without having to go outdoors." Norman Cousins

The good news is that laughter doesn't even need to be genuine to do you good, manufactured laughter works too.

Even smiling when you don't feel like it will begin to change your mood and relax your body. Try it; the benefits are worth the effort.

Find ways to incorporate laughter into your day. Give yourself reasons to laugh. Surround yourself with things that make you laugh and rediscover your sense of humour. Laughter really is good for you.

Are We Over Protecting Our Children?

Are We Over Protecting Our Children?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Tony_S_Gee]Tony S Gee

The short answer to this question is simply 'YES'.

Fears regarding safety and litigation have resulted in playgrounds that are unchallenging and unappealing to young people. Parents are obsessively concerned with protecting their children and this is leading to their offspring not developing the resilience and physical skills that they need.

The streets today are choked with traffic, unrecognisable compared with the roads that we used to play in as children. And the toys of today (video games and computers) actually appear to encourage physical idleness. The explosion in the use of the mobile phone has also contributed to the lazy, sedentary lives that many of us and our children lead today.

Surveys of children and young people have shown that most would actually like to spend more time engaged in healthy activities but facilities no longer exist. Many of us can recall growing up at a time when people were poor and there were very few purpose built facilities for young people. We look at the modern parks and play areas and think 'what is wrong with kids today, we didn't have all this when we were young.'

It is true that the modern, well designed and safe play areas and parks didn't exist when we were young but what we did have was space. The roads were far less crowded and it was possible to play football or soccer in the street outside your house. Where there are now housing estates and car parking spaces there was once open space, ideal for adventurous play. The playgrounds of the sixties and seventies would have just a few pieces of poorly maintained playground equipment. Maybe a slide, some swings and occasionally a roundabout. The fact that the equipment was old and a little dangerous made it all the more exciting! Today much of this equipment would be considered unsafe and local authorities would not allow it to be used for fear of expensive claims for damages if a child hurt themselves using it.

It is us, the older generation who are responsible for these changes and the growing risk aversion that is denying our children the opportunities to play outdoors. I am not suggesting that we should tolerate poorly maintained or dangerous playground equipment in our parks and play areas but what I am saying is that we are responsible for the overcrowded, unhealthy society in which we live today and the over-protection of our youngsters. The developmental needs of our children have been pushed aside as we have tried to make everything ultra-safe in order to allay our anxieties whilst, at the same time, we've allowed our towns and cities to become horribly overcrowded.

We need to fix things now! We need to provide our children with the opportunities to play outdoors, to have adventures, to develop their physical skills, resilience and to be trusted. We need to take a hard look at the society that we have created and the examples that we set and take steps to make it a healthy society with facilities and attitudes that encourage youngsters to develop healthy habits.
