In the Philippines Low Carbon Switch-off Ceremony at SM Mall of Asia at 6pm, on March 26.  Manila residents can join the switch-off in SM Mall of Asia.   And for those in the provincial area you can ask your local government units or malls to join this Earth Hour.

Switch off Please! Be a part of Earth  hour and beyond.  This coming Saturday 26th March 2011 at 8:30 PM, lights will switch off around the globe for Earth Hour and people will commit to going beyond the hour.
Let us join this campaign to save our mother earth. Due to the climate change we must take action.   Just only for an hour or beyond.

Earth hour is on it forth year now. It was started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia.  More than 2,000 businesses and 2.2 million individuals turned off the light for an hour to take stand for this campaign against climate change.  Last year Earth hour became the biggest earth hour.  About 128 countries and territories joined the actions

Water is life! Pasig River is one of the most historic and important landmark of our country.  Once again let us help to bring out the beauty of  The Pasig River. I would like to invite you to Join and Support the ABS-CBN Run for the Pasig River 10.10.10 to be held on October 10, 2010, for more information visit the website: http://www.101010runforpasigriver.com/ . They targeting 120,000 runners in all walks of lives.

The campaign of this fun run is for restoration of Pasig River and to show the world that Filipinos can work together for a big cause. Especially to save our mother nature.  These 120,000 runners will get the Guinness attention.

The race consist 3 major starting points.  SM Mall of Asia (3Km), CCP Complex (5Km), and Makati (10Km), all converging to 1 finish line at the SM Mall of Asia

.    Drinking plenty of water

·         not to remain under direct sun exposure, try to remain in the shade

·         keep your cars well ventilated and aired

·         take extra precaution with elders and children

·         Do not leave your cell phone or other electronic items in the car exposed to the heat as it is easily flammable

·         Please be sure to protect yourself with sunscreen.

·         Dress in loose light clothing and avoid tight, air restricting garments.

·         wear your sunglasses outside the office in day light to protect your eyes tissue which can be easily damaged by such a heat and sun.

·          Try to leave an open bottle of water in your car if you leave it in an un-shaded car park as the evaporated water will counter act the heat impact.

·          Do not leave perfumes or lighters in the car as they are flammable.

·          Do no leave children or pets in locked unventilated areas such as    cars (heat will kill them).

·          Do not walk for long times directly under the sun (i.e. wear hat or umbrella). when conducting business outside the office.
