Honest Mistake Inverted Philippines Flag

Honest Mistake Inverted Philippines Flag

The error came when Mr Obama met south-east Asian leaders including Philippine president Benigno Aquino in New York on Saturday.

The inverted flag wrongfully signified that the Southeast Asian nation was in a state of war.
Washington said it would investigate the ‘unfortunate’ incident while Manila said it would not affect relations between the two countries.

'This was an honest mistake,' U.S. Embassy spokeswoman Rebecca Thompson said in a statement, adding that 'the U.S. treasures its close relationship and close partnership with the Philippines.'

After all US admit their mistake.  But I hope that at least someone from the Philippines have observe and request for the reposition of our flag. And next time the organizer should be sensitive with regards to the flag position. Especially for an international events.

Al-Nakheel Beach 9-11-2010

During our Ramadan Eid Vacation we went to Al Nakheel beach, Al-Fanateer corniche area, Juabail Industrial City. We left Al Khobar at 6:00 am. We reach at 7:30 am at the sea side. Start out chatting and eating. Enjoy little time in swimming. But not that comfort because of the rocky beach. Due to the heat of the weather we pack up and leave at 10:00 am.

My Saffori Land Adventure - MYM

My Saffori Land Adventure - MYM

Last April 13 I went to the Saffori Land in Hufof City, Al Hasa K.S.A. Yes you hear it right Saffori Land  not Saffari.  It is not really an outdoor forest, rather a family recreation and gaming center found in Othaim Mall. While waiting for my cousin I spent 3 hours in this fantastic fun mall area.

I stayed in Al Hasa for 5 days and 4 nights. We have a week Eid Ramadan vacation. So this is one of my itinerary.

Here are some pictures of the fun adventures.

I took the banner but forget the Ice Skating  ring!

I hope you have some fun!

Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines

01 September 2010

Embassy on Wheels” (EOW) in Al-Khobar - Postpone (September)

“Embassy on Wheels” (EOW) in Al-Khobar - Postpone (September 2010)

Para sa lahat ng OFW na nasa Eastern Province ng Saudi Arabia, postpone ang Embassy on Wheels for the month of September. Below is the press release from Philippines embassy in Riyadh.

********************

PRESS RELEASE No. APV- 43 -2010

04 September 2010

EOW for September Postponed

The Philippine Embassy today announced that it will have to postpone its consular outreach service or “Embassy on Wheels” (EOW) in Al-Khobar in the month of September upon receiving instruction from the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.

Through a circular from the Department, all Foreign Service Posts are informed that the Personalization Center for the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) will be transferred to the new Office of Consular Affairs Building on Macapagal Boulevard, cor. Bradco Avenue, Aseana Business Park, Paranaque City, in the third or fourth week of September.

For this reason, Embassies and Consulates are instructed to postpone mobile passport services for the issuance of MRP for the month of September.

The Embassy will make another announcement as early as possible on the next schedule of the EOW at the International Philippine School in Al-Khobar for October.

MRPs that are ready for release to the applicants may be claimed at the Embassy by presenting the old passport and proof of payment. An authorization letter is required in cases where the concerned applicant is not able to personally claim his or her new passport.

A facility for the extension of passport validity is also available at the Embassy for those who might run into an emergency that would require a valid passport. For more details, inquiries can be made through filembry@sbm.net.sa or the Embassy’s hot line number 01-4823559, especially during the Eid break. END

A Time for Everything

A Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
