No War But Support Yolanda's Survivors - Doug Baldwin Jr

No War But Support Yolanda's Survivors - Doug Baldwin Jr.

Baldwin came out carrying the Philippine flag before the start of the match but the flag was upside down with the red part over the blue portion.
A Philippine flag in that manner signals that the country is in a state of war.
Baldwin later apologized to those who were offended and explained why the flag he came out with was inverted on his Twitter account.
“If I offended anyone of the Philippines, it was not my intent,” Baldwin (@DougBaldwinJr) posted. “I only meant to call attention to the plight of the people devastated by typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).”
“The aftermath of the typhoon can be compared to conditions after a battle during war.”
The Seahawks, who currently own the best record in the league at 10-1, have also raised over $24,000 for the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda,” according to their official Twitter account.

Super typhoon death toll closer to 2,000 or 2,500, not 10,000 – PNoy

| News | GMA News Online:
"ANDREW R.C. MARSHALL and MANUEL MOGATO, ReutersNovember 13, 2013 1:56am

The death toll from Typhoon Haiyan's rampage through the Philippines is closer to 2,000 or 2,500 than the 10,000 previously estimated, President Benigno Aquino said on Tuesday as U.S. and British warships headed toward his nation to help with relief efforts.   "Ten thousand, I think, is too much," Aquino told CNN in an interview. "There was emotional drama involved with that particular estimate."   Aquino said the government was still gathering information from various storm-struck areas and the death toll may rise.   "We're hoping to be able to contact something like 29 municipalities left wherein we still have to establish their numbers, especially for the missing, but so far 2,000, about 2,500, is the number we are working on as far as deaths are concerned," he said."

"TACLOBAN, Philippines: The death toll from one of the strongest storms on record that ravaged the central Philippine city of Tacloban could reach 10,000 people, officials said Sunday after the extent of massive devastation became apparent and horrified residents spoke of storm surges as high as trees. Regional police chief Elmer Soria said he was briefed by Leyte provincial Gov. Dominic Petilla late Saturday and told there were about 10,000 deaths in the province, mostly by drowning and from collapsed buildings. The governor’s figure was based on reports from village officials in areas where Typhoon Haiyan slammed Friday. Tacloban city administrator Tecson Lim said that the death toll in the city alone “could go up to 10,000.” Tacloban is the Leyte provincial capital of 200,000 people and the biggest city on Leyte Island."

"The Labor Ministry announced on Saturday that it would continue to accept applications from undocumented expats to legalize their status despite the end of the amnesty on Nov. 3. However, it insisted that such workers have to pay fines or face other penal measures for the delay in legalizing their status. Faisal Al-Otaibi, director-general of inspections at the ministry, also pointed out that it would not accept any request for exemptions from raids being carried out by the ministry and security officials to rid the country of labor law violators. “The correction process is continuing and those who want to legalize their status can do so through our electronic services and labor offices,” he said."

Quadrant of Marriage - FLSM 101

Quadrant of Marriage - FLSM 101

In every relationship, there are rules and guidelines that we have to follow. As for me I have four items to be considered. I call it Quadrant of Marriage, Faith, Love, Money and Sex (FLSM). These Quadrants must integrate to each other in order to have a successful marriage. Because there is no such as perfect  marriage. Quadrant of Marriage might be one of the key for a happy, successful and Godly marriage.

Faith - whatever is your denomination as long a you believe in the same God. We must place God in the center of our marriage. Some couples preoccupied with their jobs, businesses and socializing. While others rely on their power. They forget their responsibility as a husband or a wife. And most of all they forget to acknowledge God's presence.

Mathew 19: 4-6 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh' ? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

Love - Love is blind, love is a many splendor things. Love is a deep affection toward a person. But how can you love your partner? When his or her true color reveals. He eat like a dog and sleep like a hog. She talk like a running train. And her freshness fade away.As the scripture command love one another. For better or worst 'till death we as part.

"4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1Corinthians 13:4-7

Sex- is an intense emotional attachment. As a normal person we have a physical need and pleasure. But it most advisable for married couples to have a healthy sexual relationship. It is where one's completely surrender and trust his or her partner. What make some couples broke-up because lack of intimacy, slow in arousal, rushing or no time for sex.

"Sex is as much spiritual mystery as physical fact. As written in Scripture, "The two become one." Since we want to become spiritually one with the Master, we must not pursue the kind of sex that avoids commitment and intimacy, leaving us more lonely than ever—the kind of sex that can never "become one."1 Corinthians 6:16

Money -  in every occasion there is money involve. For a couple at first period of their marriage life there are full of compassion and emotion.  They thought that faith, love and sex is everything about marriage.  But in the latter time here come the financial issue. Unlike when they were still single. They have their own allowances and go wherever they want to go. Now is the reality of being independent on their own. It is a good idea that one should be a good steward of the money and the other is a great provider. Money can destroy the blessing and marraige if we not manage it in the way of God's will.

From a biblical perspective, money should be gained honestly (Proverbs 28:20), invested carefully (Matthew 25:14-30), spent realistically (Romans 13:8) and shared joyfully (1 Timothy 6:17-19).

"Illegal workers who are not in possession of official documents will be considered for final exit provided their respective embassies certify their citizenship, Maj. Gen. Al-Turki was speaking at a joint press conference with Deputy Labor Minister Mufrej bin Saad Al-Haqbani to announce the end of the amnesty period from Monday. He said that expatriates to be considered for final exit should not have any criminal record and that these workers will not be able to come back to the Kingdom for employment in future since they will be fingerprinted at departure points. He said this arrangement has been made in response to requests from several embassies who say they do not have any documents to support the original entry of many of their citizens. Speaking with Arab News following the press conference, Al-Haqbani thanked foreign workers who have participated in the development of the Kingdom. "
