"MANILA, Philippines – Miss World 2011 bet Gwendolyn Ruais guns for a semi-final spot as she lands on three “fast track competitions” in the pageant.
Since 2003, Miss World pageant has been featuring fast track events during the preliminary round of the competition, which give a bit of a boost to some of the contestants when the semi-finalists are chosen on coronation night.
In these fast track events, 20 contestants are chosen per category and, as “Unang Hirit” reported on Nov. 4, Ruais made it into three the Top 20 of following categories: Beach Beauty (2003–present), Beauty With A Purpose (2005–present), and Top Model (2004, but not held in 2005-2006)."
