OFW & OEC?
Overseas Foreign Workers (OFW) are require to avail an OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) before they leave the Philippines. Is an overseas worker really need an OEC? This is the question I always asking myself every time I go for vacation. I think that we have paid enough to help our country through our remittances.
I agree with the article I have read. But I just only one of a million OFW that abiding the rules of our country. Nevertheless I just want to share with you the article:

Prospective overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) should not be required to get a departing clearance validation from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), a news portal said on Tuesday.
In an article, the Philippine Online Chronicles said the new requirement makes it “more difficult" for the migrant workers — who have buoyed the country’s economy — to leave the country.
In March, the POEA announced that all departing contract workers need to secure an overseas employment certificate (OEC) to help ensure “proper documentation and protection" of OFWs.
